    Looked like they were targeting these sharks in shallow water as part of a tagging/tracking study program . I think this was more of defensive attack than it was a predatory one

    He was trying to get the guy standing there lol. And anything is fair game for sharks I think it’s just a matter of if they’re hungry enough and there’s good opportunity or not. So stupid to think “sharks don’t want to eat humans”

  • @danielstephens1185
    @danielstephens1185 Місяць тому

    Genuine question here. Are sharks known to make feints? Warning bites that aren't intended to connect? Like just scare something away? The shark clearly knew the guy was there. This isn't a case of a surfer being mistaken for a seal via silhouette from below. The boat is too big to be determined a territorial threat in itself. So the guy was targeted. However, if the shark saw him, it had to know he was on that platform too. It didn't appear to bite the platform like they've been observed to with cages. That looked more like a warning snap. I'd say half hearted, but no. That was a breach. Half-hearted would be just swim to the surface and go for the pole.

    I'm just trying to visualize what the shark saw just before he launched out of the water 🤣🤣 .. The tag guy is a total pro, before the shark was back in the water, he's moving that tagging pole into position, still trying to get it done ... Great vid

    A shark has every right to eat you, wreck you or ignore you while you’re anywhere on his property or in his house so to speak. If the shark does wreck you or kill you it should never be a pursued or killed. That’s what it does. Accept that and stay out of the water unless you want to take the risk..
